EDM Services designed and engineered replacement of a refined petroleum products pipeline in the San Francisco Bay Area. The project was unique in the following ways:
- The replacement included 9,000 and 12,800 lineal foot horizontal directional drills (HDD).
- The HDD equipment was supported within the Bay, on a temporary trestle.
- The HDD pipe string was supported within the Bay on temporary pipe supports.
