Our Story

Founded by two pipeliners, T. L. Butch Walls and Brian L. Payne, in 1990. The firm has gone on to successfully design thousands of industrial projects for local utilities, major international oil companies, and the federal and state agencies responsible for overseeing the oil & gas industry and energy industries.
The EDM services team's mission is to provide the highest quality professional, engineering, permitting, procurement, quality control, and project management services to our clients in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.
Is located at 40 Cochran Street, Suite 210, Simi Valley, California, 93065. From this location, the firm serves its customers located throughout the United States. With a satellite office in Dallas, Texas, and employees located remotely throughout the Southern California region.
Most of the firm’s major customers want to perform their engineering and construction activities in the most cost-effective and efficient manner possible. To this end, these customers have established long-term relationships with EDM Services; engineering, permitting, and managing the construction of their facilities. These customers have found that EDM provides services of extremely high quality in all areas, including productivity, overall quality, cost-effectiveness, community involvement, government agency relations, operations improvement, job site safety, constructability, and minimum constructed cost, to name a few.
EDM also provides expert technical services to various state and local agencies, including design review, risk assessment, and plan check and inspection services to regulatory bodies. The list includes such agencies as the Santa Barbara County, California Department of Fish and Game, United States Department of Energy, California State Fire Marshal, and others. This experience demonstrates the firm’s wide acceptance as an expert in this field, as well as the ability to work well with local agencies.
A dedication to job site safety. EDM has provided traffic plans and detailed shoring designs for a variety of customers, including Caltrans, Los Angeles County Flood Control, Los Angeles Department of Transportation, and others. The firm has never suffered a lost-time incident. In addition, EDM Services has helped a number of customers comply with stringent environmental regulations. It should be noted that our customers have never received a notice of noncompliance, fine, or another form of citation for any of the work completed by EDM Services.

The Home City of EDM Services, Inc.
Simi Valley is a large and growing city. It has a friendly hometown atmosphere, which makes it a special and safe place to live in. The residents there are active in dozens of volunteer organizations for many different causes.
Places for Recreational Activities
Simi Valley residents enjoy our local ice-skating rink, three golf courses, movie theaters, two bowling alleys, and one of the largest equestrian trail systems in the United States. We have beautiful parks that provide picnic facilities, miles of bike trails, pools, tennis courts, children’s playgrounds, and even a duck pond.
Accessible Attractions
In addition to being within driving distance from several theme parks and attractions, Simi Valley is close to some of Southern California’s finest harbors and beaches which are perfect for all types of watersports. During the mild winters, snow skiing is just a few hours away in the San Bernardino Mountains.
Efficient Transportation Systems
The City has Metrolink and Amtrak stations connected to the downtown Los Angeles area. City bus, truck and rail, and municipal transportation systems are also available. The Los Angeles International Airport is less than an hour away, and Burbank Airport is about 30 minutes. Port Hueneme, about 35 minutes away, is the only deepwater port of entry between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
